뉴에이지 엠비언트를 연주하는 음악가들중에 우선꼽는아티스트는
"머드윈 구달(Medwyn Goodall)"를 꼽는다.
가장 아름답운 소리의 결을 창조하는 아티스트중에 한 사람이다.
켈트인의 후손인 영국계 음악가의 선율에는 늘상 오래 전에 아일랜드 지역에
거주하던 조상들의 목가적인 향기가 배어있다.
그는 80년대에 이미 "Earth Heallek"와 "Medicine Woman" 음반을 통하여
역량을 인정 받은 바 있었다.

  전세계에 걸쳐 전설 속에 가려진 채 수세기 동안 신비로움을
간직하고 있는 신화, 예언, 전설, 인물을 컨셉화하여 음악으로
표현해내는 메드윈 굿달......께나, 팩 파이프, 차랑고, 시쿠,
마림바등 이국적인 남미 악기들을 통해 잉카 시대의 유적이
고스란히 보존되어 있는 남아메리카 페루 남서부의 도시인
나즈카를 컨셉으로 고대 유적의 형상을 음악으로 표현하고 있다.

  듣는 이의 두뇌회로를 정리 할 훌륭한 기능 음악이었다.
기능성 못지않게  본연의 음향미학에 충실한 구조를 항상 탄탄하게 유지하고
있기 때문에 얻은 당연한 평가이다.
